1.3. We reserve the right to change this Policy from time to time. The Policy applicable to your use of our website at any given time will be the version that is currently displayed. It is your responsibility to check the Policy on our website.
1.4. It is important that the information we hold about you is accurate, therefore please let us know of any changes to the personal information you give to us. Please also get in touch if you wish to know what personal information we hold about you (“data subject access requests”) (N.B. there may be a small administrative charge of £10 to respond to any data subject access requests). 2. Information we may receive about you
2.1. Information you provide when you join our mailing list. This includes information such as your name, email, phone number, mobile, profession and address. We may also ask you for information if you contact us.
2.2. Information you provide when you donate online. Our donation facility is provided by Charity Checkout. www.charitycheckout.co.uk is a site operated by Online Giving Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 06886190, registered office at Business & Technology Centre, Bessemer Drive, Stevenage, Herts, SG1 2DX, UK. All donations made through Charity Checkout are securely encrypted and processed using SSL with a minimum 128-bit encryption and firewalls. Charity Checkout hosts the payment pages on PCI DSS Level 1 compliant servers, the highest level of security. 2.3. Details of your visits to our website. This information includes traffic data, location data, web logs, and other communication data, and what resources you use on our website when you visit. We receive this information through cookies (see below).
2.4. Information about your computer. This may include your IP address, browser type and operating system, for system administration and to report aggregate information. This is statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify you as an individual.
3. Use of your personal information
3.1. We use the information we hold about you to ensure our website is properly maintained and operated; to ensure our website content is presented to you in an effective manner; to provide you with information that you request; to understand website usage; to keep records of any donations made to the campaign to fund V&A Museum of Design Dundee or any correspondence you send to us; to send you information for the purposes of fundraising for and for marketing about V&A Museum of Design Dundee ; and to comply with our legal obligations.
3.2. We will keep your information for a reasonable period for the above purposes. Once your personal information is no longer required, or on receipt of any request from you, we will delete it from our records in a secure manner.
3.3. If you do not want to receive marketing information from us or our partner organisation Dundee Museums Foundation (see paragraph 6.1.1), you can opt out of this at the time of approving this Policy and each time you receive marketing material from us or Dundee Museums Foundation thereafter.

6.1. Design Dundee Limited will share your personal information with:
6.1.1. Dundee Museums Foundation; a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation , registered Scottish Charity No: SC043889, registered office address 34 Reform Street, Dundee , DD1 1RJ, strictly for the purposes of record keeping, if you have made any donations and for marketing and fundraising for the V&A Museum of Design Dundee. Dundee Museums Foundation will not share your personal information with any third party and will remove your personal information from its records either on request by you (except in relation to donations) or once no longer required, whichever is the earlier.
6.1.2. Third party data processors for the purpose of distributing marketing materials. Where we do this, we will always ensure the third party organisation enters into a suitable data processing agreement to ensure your personal information will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
6.2. We may disclose your personal information if we are under a legal obligation to do so.
6.3. If we go through a period of transition that involves selling or buying any business or assets, we may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or buyer. If we or all of our assets are acquired, the data we hold on our marketing database may be one of the transferred assets.
6.4. Other than as set out in this Policy, we will not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties without asking your permission first or without a legally valid request (except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of information is necessary).
7. Storage of your information
All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers based in the UK and is not transferred outside the EEA. The transmission of information via the Internet, unfortunately, is not completely secure, and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to help prevent unauthorised access.
